Isn't it nice to know that ace comedian Yaw made the cut for the Olympic Touch Bearing ceremony? Yea, he did! Olympic comes up this year in London, tagged London 2012 and Yaw has been selected as one of the Touch Bearers.

Twitter went agog this a.m when Don Jazzy left some tweets on his timeline that put to rest the several weeks long rumour of the split between him and Dbanj. To say his over 220,000+ fans were shocked is an understatement, though some saw it coming but the confirmation still didn't prepare many when they heard it (not literally) from the horse's mouth. Personally, the split is a sad development but it is what it is. I wish both Don Jazzy and Dbanj the very best, and here's hoping they will both not fade into obscurity.. Y'all get!

Suspected Suicide: Body Of Ex Gov Gbenga Daniels' Aide Found In River

The body of Wole Olumide, an aide of former governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel, was recovered lifeless yesterday night from a river beside the Golf Resort Hotels in Ogun State.

According to reports, the late politician was on his way to the resort when he suddenly asked his driver to pull up beside a bush path. He got out of the car and entered the bush. When he hadn't returned after an hour, his driver raised an alarm, which attracted people around the area. Dbanj Floats New Record Label, DonJazzy Reportedly Missing In 'Oliver' Video

Source - D’banj’s Oliver video has premiered on MTV Base at 19:30, 21:18, 23:01 (CAT) today, March 16th 2011. The video which has been played several times now sees cameo appearances from Kanye’s GOOD music artistes including Mannie Fresh, Will.i.am, Big Sean and even Kanye West.

The producer of the record and Mo’Hits president Don Jazzy is not seen at all in the video which also sees three energetic female dancers and a ‘whote’ boy doing the popular ‘azonto’ dance. A self acclaimed spiritualist, Adewale Salami, 35, has been arraigned before Oshodi Magistrate’s court, Lagos State, for allegedly defrauding a company worker, Yinka Kayode to the tune of N11 million on a false pretence of helping him to perform rituals to kill his employers so that he would take over the company.

Yinka who was a staff of Chivita Company Limited located at Ajao Estate, Lagos, reportedly approached Salami and asked him to perform some spiritual work so that he would terminate the lives of his employers and own the company. Salami promised to do so if he would pay the money.

New Deputy Inspector General of Police, 3 Others Killed In Helicopter Crash

Deputy Inspector General of Police Haruna John, his orderly and two others were among the fatalities in today's helicopter crash in Jos, according to Plateau State Police spokesman, ASP Samuel Dabai. They were going round the city on an official assignment.

Haruna John was until recently, the Commissioner of Police in the FCT. He was handpicked for promotion to a Deputy Inspector General of Police alongside 7 others by the Acting IG of Police, Mohmamed Dahiru Abuabakar on February 22, 2012 and officially decorated with his new rank on March 2, 2012, less than two weeks ago.

Mad Man Rapes 2yr-Old in Lagos

A mentally unstable man, in Lagos, raped a two-year-old girl. People in the Itire neighbourhood where the incident occurred reported that the unidentified man was passing along the street, then entered into the victim’s house. Upon seeing nobody around except the two-year-old, he went ahead to rape her.

The girl’s cries attracted the attention of a neighbour who burst in and caught the rapist in the act. The neighbour raised an alarm and called on other neighbours who seized the man and descended heavily on him with blows and curses.

The molester would have been lynched by the mob if not for the intervention of the police. The girl was then taken to the hospital for treatment few hours later while the man was arrested, but later released on grounds of mental-instability.
