In the sacrificial spirit of Easter, Pink Pearl Foundation would be organizing a Cancer Awareness Campaign and Charity Giveaway on the 6th of April 2012 to commemorate the Easter celebration. The event is focused on touching lives by putting smiles on people’s faces with a mission to reduce the rate of death caused by breast and cervical cancer in Nigeria. This event will take place in Lagos’ “Ghetto City – Ajegunle” at LA primary school complex Ajegunle with special appearance from the Ghetto Soldier - Daddy Showkey and Nigeria’s finest DJ Jimmy Jatt. There will be free screenings during giveaway.

Speaking on the reason for the event, Spokesperson for the foundation, Mr. Onye Ubanatu said; Continue after the jump >>

“just as we had the December Giveaways, Easter reminds us of God’s selfless sacrifice of Jesus Christ, by giving him up on the cross to die for the sins of all man kind and we are all called in our various capacities to show love to mankind just as God did for us”. The Ajegunle Easter giveaway is not limited to Pink Pearl Foundation and Oaken events alone as interested corporate bodies are welcome to also partner so as to reach a wider audience, he added.

‘Moved by the response we got during a similar event organized in December for children from different orphanage homes and the joy expressed by participants, we then decided to have another event in the same light and there could not have been a better time than Easter’; says Mrs.Orode Jade Okpu, founder – Pink Pearl Foundation.

At a press conference held in Lagos on Friday 23rd March 2012, Obiageli Oliver, representing Oaken Events said; “We want to touch lives and not just organize events, that’s why we at Oaken Events are partnering with Pink Pearl Foundation to reach the young, the aged and the children”.
