WOW! Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde Turns 34!

Wow, wow, wow!!! She looks gorgeous at 34 eh.. Baba God, make me look this way when I get to Omotola's age ke, na beg I dey beg you in the name of God.. Wink

Nollywood star actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde is a happy woman. The stunning mother-of-four is thanking God for seeing another anniversary of her birth, even as she’s spent the better part of today, her 34th birthday, reading and replying goodwill messages across the web – from friends, fans and followers.

‘Omo Sexy’ as she is fondly called then spent the next four hours retweeting and accepting complements from her 51000 plus followers on microblogging site Twitter. The love has also been extended to Facebook with over 2000 birthday wishes from some of her 648,695 fans. The only Nigerian that surpasses the actress with Facebook ‘Likes’ is President Goodluck Jonathan (695,999).

The UN ambassador for World Food Programme and Amnesty International activist got married to Captain Matthew Ekeinde at the Ikeja registry on the 23rd, March 1996, then later had a beautiful white wedding on board a DASH 7 Aircraft flying from Lagos to Benin, on the 19th April, 2001. The couple have four children together.

Born to late Mr. and Mrs. Shola Jalade, Omotola is one of three children (she has two brothers, Tayo and Bolaji Jalade). She attended Chrisland Nursery School, Opebi, Lagos and Oxford Children School, Santos Layout. She had her secondary education at Command Secondary School, Kaduna.

She has starred in close to 60 movies in a career spanning almost two decades. Apart from acting, Omotola is also a singer, with two albums to her credit. She’s also currently working on setting up her own production company.

In Other News

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde is trying her hands at another aspect of entertainment. She’s excelled at acting and experimented with music, now the mother-of-four has launched a new company Redhot Concept, which will be producing documentaries as well as movies. The documentaries however will not necessarily be commercial as they will focus on personal lives, events, and informal activities such as weddings, birthdays and naming ceremonies.

No details yet, but we’re told the actress is putting a team together, and work is on-going from her Lagos office. RedHot concept, we’re told, will work on inside projects are well as on those commissioned by clients.

Jalade-Ekeinde, popularly called Omosexy, made her Nollywood debut in 1993 in the movie ‘Iva’ and has gone on to star in over 40 movies, her latest being the 2011 Drama ‘Ties that bind’ directed by American-Ghanaian filmmaker Leila Djansi.

‘She’s passionate about documentaries’ said a source close to her.
