A one-of-its-kind compendium on event planning and management written by experienced event planner, Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, is set for launch on March 31, 2012 at the Civic Centre Lekki, Lagos.The book, titled ‘The Essential Bridal Handbook’, draws from the writer’s vast experience based on many years of involvement in the event planning business along with contributions from major stakeholders, specialists and icons in that sector of the events management industry.
The bridal handbook covers virtually all aspects of wedding planning with practical information like themes and colours, budget and worksheet, wedding wardrobe, decoration
and flowers, culinary, music and entertainment, transportation and honeymoon amongst many other interesting parts of weddings.
According to Bucknor-Obruthe, who’s the founder and Creative Director of Zapphaire Events, the colourful handbook has a lot of great features and is easy to read. It is also intended to be a resource directory on the latest trend in wedding planning, containing information on various service providers in different but related fields in the sector.
The author is the daughter of musician Segun Bucknor and elder sister of the multi-talented artist Tosyn Bucknor.
‘The Essential Bridal Handbook’ is already available at various stores nationwide including House of Tara, BM Pro, Silverbird Galleria Stores, SAS Textiles Store and Terra Kulture.
