Nollywood movie streaming platform, iROKOtv.com has just hit the 100,000 user mark since launching on December 1, 2011.
With this stats, it means that iROKOtv adds about 1800 users on average per day. Also, a total of over 1 million hours has been spent watching movies
on the platform since launch. That means over 70 million minutes has been spent so far watching movies on the platform.
The platform dubbed ‘Africa’s Netflix’ allows you to watch all of Nollywood movies for free and recorded significant growth in its first month of launch, as visitors turned to the platform to watch movies for free.
In December alone, iROKOtv attracted 962,000 visitors and 4,971,000 page views with about 20,000 unique views daily during the month of December.
Its parent company, Iroko Partners had a blockbuster year in 2011 launching arguably the three most exciting platforms in Nigeria’s Internet entertainment space, iROKOtv.com, iROKtv and iROKING.com.
