Interesting: Expatriates In Nigeria Are Highest Paid In The World

Daily Times - Oil and gas expatriates working in Nigeria are the highest paid in the world. According to a study carried out by the Curzon Partnership Recruitment Consultants, an average oil and gas executive in the country earns a total salary of about $454,400 a year, which includes a supplementary country premium worth 45% of base pay. This is far above salary levels in Britain, the report revealed.
The fat pay exceeds what is obtainable in other top oil producing countries

of Libya or Iraq, where the gross pay is around $354,900 per annum.

The research found that oil and gas workers from developed countries who ply their trade in the country compare favorably above their contemporaries in other oil producing nations of Indonesia where companies pay a premium of 40 percent, Ghana 35 percent and 30 percent in Libya, Kurdistan or Egypt.
Nigeria is one of the highest exporter of crude oil in the world with an average of 2.4 million barrels per day but the country has not been able to meet up with the human resource needs of the sector.
