Abuja Man Who Tried To Commit Suicide To Be Charged To Court For Attempted Suicide!

Do you charge someone for attempting suicide ni? I'm no lawyer, so I wouldn't know.. That's crazy tho if so. You would think they will get him into counselling and investigate the reason he decided to jump off the mast.. Naija security operatives haff brain disease I swear.. Someone should just tell maga Atiku Abubakar to pay the money he owes the man, haba! .... A man yesterday climbed a telecom mast within the premises of the complex of the Federal High Court in Abuja, attempting to commit suicide because former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has refused to pay him his money.

The man, who gave his name as Musa Inuwa, told spectators that the former VP acquired a property he had inherited in 2006 and refused to pay for it, the sum of which amounts to N15 million.

He told spectators that he would not come down until the Inspector General of Police or the former VP come and promise to pay him his money. Police Area Commander, Sunday Odukoya pleaded with him to come down and state his problems, promising they will be solved.

He said there is no assurance that he will not be arrested by the police once he dismounts the mast.

After several minutes of talking to different security operatives, Inuwa, who comfortably sat on the mast, turned a deaf ear to their calls.

He said he intended to pull his stunt at the National Assembly complex but there is no such mast there. After about two hours of persuasion by policemen, other security personnel and an unidentified man (who is said to know him on a personal basis), Inuwa finally dismounted the mast.

He was immediately surrounded by policemen and operatives of the State Security Service (SSS) and ushered into a police van. He was not allowed to speak to newsmen. The spokesperson of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Yusha’u Shuaib said his agency deployed mattresses to the scene in case of emergency landing.

FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, said Inuwa was arrested and will be charged to court for attempted suicide. He said that the suspect has been “kept under protective custody and will be probed over his actions. He will be charged with attempted suicide.”
