Man Wins Right To Have Court Declare A Doctor End His Life.. Sigh

A man with “locked-in syndrome” won the right today to ask the courts to declare that a doctor can lawfully end the “indignity” of his life. In an unprecedented case, Tony Nicklinson, 57, is seeking a declaration that a doctor could assist him without facing a prosecution for murder.

He is paralysed from the neck down after a stroke in 2005 and unable to speak or make any move to assist his own death. In a moving statement read out to court, Mr Nicklinson said that he would feel lucky if he contracted terminal cancer so that he was no longer kept alive against his will. He said, in a message laboriously spelled out one letter at a time by blinking.

“I am fed up with my life and don’t want to spend the next 20 years or so like this. Am I grateful that the Athens doctor saved my life? No, I am not. If I had my time again, and knew then what I know now, I would not have called the ambulance but let nature take its course.”..

I had a rosary given to me by a friend as a gift. It was elegant, pretty and above all it was simple. I've come across rosary pieces all my life, but this one was somewhat different. Every where I went I was complemented, and because of that I wore it almost everyday. One day, in a rascally moment, it broke. No more complements?! WOW! I couldn't live with that, so I hatched a master plan to put it back together. I couldn't find all the pieces so I improvised with substitutes I bought from a local bead store, and what do you know? It turned out better than the original and when I was asked how I did it, I said "I PUT MY HEART IN THE PIECE"....and that's how my journey began.

Mother Jailed For Abetting And Recording Boyfriend Raping Her 11yr Old Daughter

A mother of four, who recorded her boyfriend raping her underage daughter, was sentenced to 21 years in jail by the Sessions Court here after she pleaded guilty to abetting him. The taxi driver boyfriend, Ma Kasim Sirat, 44, was slapped with a 30-year jail term and 15 lashes of the rotan.

The mother, a 30-year-old executive taxi service supervisor, admitted to three counts of abetting her boyfriend, who raped the then 11-year-old girl on three occasions at at their Apartment. The offences were committed between December 2009 and March 2010.
